Candidate for

Algonquin Township

Supervisor

New Term 2024-2028

Why are you running for the position? I am running for the position of Algonquin Township Supervisor because I believe our community deserves strong, transparent, and effective leadership that works tirelessly for the benefit of its residents. Having lived in this township for approximately 14 years, I’ve seen both the challenges we face, the wasteful spending and the incredible potential our community holds. I’m motivated to bring new energy, fresh ideas, and a collaborative approach to ensure our township thrives. My goal is to enhance essential services, make township government more accountable, and manage taxpayer dollars responsibly. I want to ensure that every resident feels heard, valued, and supported by their local government. This role is an opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to me and my family. I’m committed to working hard every day to improve the lives of all residents and to build a stronger, more united township.

New Term 2024-2028

Why are you running for the position? I am running for re-election because I want to continue the good work of the Algonquin Township Road District, as your Highway Commissioner. I am primarily running because of the many residents of this township who have encouraged me to be here and provide the service they are accustomed to. Lastly, Public Service is in my blood, and I am serving where I can do the most good.

Teresa Sharpe Decker

Current

Algonquin Township

Trustee

New Term 2024-2028

Why are you running for the position? I am proud of my record as trustee over the past four years. Experience as a Trustee is extremely important - with the learning curve behind me, I will be able to continue providing high quality constituent services in a fiscally responsible manner. I will continue to build upon my record as a more transparent, communicative and accountable Trustee to the people of Algonquin Township.

Current

Algonquin Township

Trustee

New Term 2024-2028

Why are you running for the position? I am running for office because I believe the past four years have shown the consequences of poor management and decision-making by the current supervisor. I am concerned that important decisions are being made without proper board approval, and that key hires have been based on personal relationships rather than merit. I believe in transparency, accountability, and collaborative approach to leadership.
